- Web page with an applet embedded in it is painfully slow to load. We were using java applet to play videos online and we have lots of issues with browsers freezing up…in all browsers and on all platforms 
I always wondered why people did not re-think the JVM in the browser all along.
I just found an interesting article at SDN.
