Installing Oracle on Solaris: »

- - Verify that all required Solaris packages -SUNWarc , SUNWlibms, SUNWi1of, SUNWbtool, SUNWsprot, SUNWi1cs,,SUNWhea , SUNWsprox , SUNWi15cs, SUNWlibm, SUNWtoo, SUNWxwfnt are installed. You find all these packages on Solaris CD – Disk2.
- Make changes to Kernel parameters – Edit /etc/system file using vi and set shared memory parameters.
- If you made changes to /etc/system file, you need to reboot the machine.
- Kick off runInstaller
